  • The Working with Children Check is a prerequisite for paid and unpaid child-related work. Under Part 2, section 6 of theĀ Child Protection (Working With Children) Act 2012, child-related work is defined as work in a specific, child-related role or face-to-face contact with children in a child-related sector.

Whilst volunteers are currently exempt from obtaining a Working with Children Check, as it is free to all volunteers, we are asking that all volunteers (both current and future) at Riverview undergo the Working with Children Check.

Once you have obtained your Working with Children Check, please present it to Staff Services, Main Administration Building, so that it can be noted that you have obtained the check. You can contact Ms Dianne Knights on 9882 8596 or make an appointment via email at [email protected]
